[p4ruby] P4Ruby under Jruby with ruby-ffi?

P4Ruby + Jruby doesn't work due to 'p4.so', the C shared library.
However, ruby-ffi may enable some native extensions under Jruby
(http://blog.headius.com/2008/10/ffi-for-ruby-now-available.html).  I've
inquired, and was asked if 'p4.so' relies on the C Ruby API.  Does it?
If not, I will try to get this working.

This is for Rails app with a Perforce back-end.  Jruby is desirable
because of hosting politics.
