Hi,
We have discovered a bug in our 99.2 server. If you have downloaded,
and been using, a server release number less than 99.2/13782, please
read on.
This bug (3104) causes an incorrect resolve status on reverse
integration records when multiple files have been resolved and are
submitted at the same time.
We have corrected this problem and new server builds are available
on our web and ftp sites; the fixed servers are release 99.2/13782
(or greater).
The problem is recoverable: the ability to fix the incorrect
integration records is included in the new server. If you believe
you may have been affected by this problem, the steps for recovery
are:
1) checkpoint your database
2) run "p4d -jf 3104 xxx", where "xxx" is the first change
submitted under 99.2. xxx can be an earlier changelist
number, but the command may take longer to complete, due
due to scanning old changes not affected by 99.2.
3) checkpoint your database
After this, inspect the most recently numbered journal file for
any updated records, and verify with 'p4 filelog' that some of
the affected files look correct. If a target file revision has a
"merged/copied/branched from" record, then check that the source
file contains the appropriate "merged/copied/branched into" record.
If you have any questions about this procedure, or are in any doubt
about the success of the fix operation, please don't hesitate to
contact us at support at perforce.com. This bug ONLY affects release
99.2 servers prior to build 13782.
