The Perforce 2011.1 Release is available now, featuring Perforce
Streams and the new integration engine. With this release, teams can
speed up many common tasks, better manage and track how complex
projects are built, reduce risk, and deliver software faster. With
its built-in, adaptable workflow and powerful visualization tools,
Perforce Streams takes the guesswork out of where changes flow in
your projects.
Highlights In This Release
- Perforce Streams, our new branching framework, introduces a new
type of Perforce depot, simplified workspace and branch management,
and the stream data type
- The next-generation integration engine provides full support for
renames and handling non-content merges
- Enhanced support for Single Sign-On, replication, and monitoring
capabilities
- P4V productivity enhancements including improved search, new
integrate and resolve dialogs, and enhanced shelving
- P4GT supports the latest versions of Softimage, 3DS Max,
Maya, and Photoshop
- P4API (C/C++), P4Perl, P4Ruby, P4Python, and P4PHP APIs support
streams
Working with Perforce Streams requires a 2011.1 Perforce Server and
