[Perforce-announce] Perforce 2012.1 Beta Now Available

Dear Perforce Users,

The Perforce 2012.1 Beta is now available.  Optimized for globally
distributed development teams of any size, get new features and 
enhancements for enterprise version management, including:

 - P4Sandbox, new technology that brings DVCS features to the enterprise
 - Better support for build automation processes
 - Communications encrypted with SSL
 - Tools for easier administration of large sites 
 - Improved workflow with virtual streams 
 - New commands to support working offline

Perforce continues to scale up to meet the needs of the most advanced
teams and products without making the sacrifices usually associated
with distributed development, like isolating important data based on
physical location. 

Please note: To test SSL-enabled Perforce Servers and smart proxy 
replication (with command forwarding), use 2012.1-compatible clients,
such as P4, P4API, and P4V Alpha.
