First check:=20
- - what do you mean by "lite version"? is it the free downloadable demo?
- - if so, you do only get a 2-user, 2-client license, which could lead =
to problems in converting from RCS.
In this case, we'd be happy to supply you with an evaluation license to =
match the number of users you need. Just send the following info to =
europe at perforce.com: =20
- - platform (SGI Irix 6.2, right?)
- - number of users
- - IP address of server where Perforce will run
- - Company address and phone number
- - email address of technical contact
- - date when the evaluation will be over. We usually provide evaluation =
licenses for 2 months.
Hope this helps! If this doesn't solve your problem, then I let the =
others answer!

Subject: p4d limitations ??
We are in a phase of `Configuration Management Systems' evaluation,
and as part of our Perforce tests I am trying to `rcstoperf.sh' our =
complete
RCS tree.
I am using the `lite version' for SGI Irix 6.2.
Everything seems to be ok up to the last step, the -load.
I get always the same error:
Journal replay failed at line XXXXX!
End of input in middle of word!
(XXXXX! is changing, when I try to achieve the db feeding by splitting =
the
original tmp.meta into smaller chunks and adding them incrementally, but
I am still far away from completion)
Here are the sizes of the generated tmp. files
- -rw-rw-r-- 1 jk dteam 2345423 Oct 2 12:29 tmp.changes
- -rw-rw-r-- 1 jk dteam 39622713 Oct 2 12:28 tmp.extract
- -rw-rw-r-- 1 jk dteam 43575040 Oct 2 12:30 tmp.meta
Also, we have 40500 ,v files in our RCS tree, result of 5 years of =
software
dev.
My first question, is the `lite version' limited in some other way as
the number of users ?.
If not, what can be done to make the `rcstoperf test' successful ?.
