Some questions

I recently began trying out Perforce and have a few questions...

1) I was thinking about the the LF vs. CR-LF difference between DOS
and UNIX and wanted to know how Perforce deals with this for text
documentation that would exist on both types of clients.

2) And a more general SCM question... I am working on source code that
I keep under Perforce revision control.
Now let's say that I want to release the compiled binaries for
other people to use, but they don't need to see the source. If I'm
writing something with several DLLs then there may only be 1 file out
of 100 that changes with a new revision. If someone already has an old
version then it would be nice to have a smart and easy way to just get
the binaries that have changed. I can get this by putting the binaries
under Perforce revision control, but....
** This seems like an abuse of disk space on the server.
** I run into troubles when perforce changes the write
permissions on the targets that a compile tries to write
	to.
What should I do?

Thanks,
RoLanD
