Hi Jim,
The attached file shows an example in 4dos of how you can first create
changelist with a description, add your files to that and then submit
that changelist with no intervention.

Subject: [p4] Looking for a simple submit without dialog
Hello,
I am new here and I am looking for a simple way to sumbmit a change to
perfoce via the command-line without invoking the editor. I have
checked the help and I want to use the "p4 submit -r filename.ext" and I
see that it has an -i option to read from input, but where do I get the
"-o" for the output?
This is for our DBA to automate submitting an .mdf file to the archive,
so something simple like my locklabel.bat below would be very helpful.
p4 label -o %1 | sed 's/^Options:.*/Options: locked/' | p4 label -i
Jim
