Probably yes. Last year we've run on AIX into a system limition (by administrator) of 1 GB filesize and we got lots of problems.
p4d only wrote some error messages (db write error) into serverlog and some users got an error message. From my point of view p4d should stop (or can be configured to stop) immediately if database files are not writeable. I've discussed that with Tony.
Henceforth we check our serverlogs with the daily backup.
At that time the error message was
Perforce server error:
Date 2003/02/06 13:30:57:
Operation: dm-TookFile
Operation 'dbput' failed.
Database write error on db.have!
dbput: db.have: unknown errno 0
Unable to allocate space for tree
With the date I would suppose it was p4d 2002.1 or 2002.2. I don't know, what the actual p4d would do and if the error message is still the same.
