Jeremy,

If you are trying to view the history of a file that has been moved
you can, from P4Win's revision history dialog, click "display
branching history" at the bottom of the dialog to see all of the
revisions through various integrations. This is equivalent to filelog
-i.

On the other hand being able to view the differences between two whole
directory trees is not something that the GUI clients handles well.
Eclipse provides great infrastructure for a view like this and the
p4eclipse plug-in (which, alas, is no longer maintained, made fairly
good use of it). I remember feeling frusterated by this as well when I
first began using Perforce, though as to why it hasn't bothered me in
the last year or so I can't really say.
