No, they can't.

But you could run the backup on a Linux Virtual Machine within a VMware session on the Windows server.

Subject:	[p4] can Linux and windows servers share checkpoint/journal?
Hi,
my perforce server is a Linux box. I am thinking to set up another server as
a perforce backup. Unfortunately the only server that can be used as a
backup is a windows 2000. My question is if the checkpoint and journal
generated by the Linux server can be used by the windows server?

Thanks in advance!

Erin
