[p4] p4dti + bugzilla 2.22 + MySQL 5.0

Hi, all!

I have taken it upon myself to switch over from our bad old defect
tracker to something real and have installed Bugzilla (latest version
- 2.22). Now I'm interested in installing p4dti for integration with
Perforce.

However, looking over the documentation, I find:

Use of versions prior to 2.18 is deprecated. On Microsoft Windows,
only versions 2.18, 2.18.4, and 2.20 are supported. The Bugzilla data
must be stored in MySQL (see below).

Use of versions prior to 4.0 is deprecated. Use of version 5.x is not supported.

Does anyone know how serious these two requirements are? I made the
mistake of getting the latest and greatest of both Bugzilla (2.22) and
MySQL (5.0.22)

Is there any hope of p4dti working with those out of the box? Any hope
for me? How painful would it be to downgrade them to 2.20 and/or 4.0?
