I would qualify this by saying that it is good to have enough memory to hold
the *active* part of db.have - Perforce is pretty efficient at only reading
what it needs rather than scanning the whole table these days (and with
2005.2 the mapstate improvement was made - see old conference papers on
server swamp for more info on this).

Doing reasonably regular clean ups of old clients etc is always a good idea.
