[p4] perforce and itunes?

So, I'm interested in putting my itunes library under perforce
control. Mainly, this is to experiment with managing a medium
sized media library.

I'm especially interested in capturing new podcasts as they
are downloaded.

Has anybody done anything like this?

Here's a brief summary of what I've done:

- put the repository on an external disk drive.

- created a client that looks like this:

     Root: /Users/mh/Music/iTunes
     View: //iTunes/... //mh-itunes-master/...

- typemap:

         binary+Fl //...
         text+Fl //....xml

- When everything is synced, itunes won't start, and
gives an error that the itunes library file can't
   be modified.

- p4 edit //... fixes that error.

- p4 edit //iTunes/iTunes Music Library.xml doesn't fix
   that error.

So, in addition to a generic "what do you think", I've
got a couple of questions:

- totally unrelated to p4, does anybody happen to know
what itunes files should remained in an edited state
   for itunes to work properly?

- what's the best way to sweep the itunes folder and
subfolders to find new files to add?

Comments, ideas appreciated... this is actually a simple
case for a new media library I'm working on.

Thanks,
Mark
