[p4] problem with Perforce server on XServ with MacOS

Hello Everyone,

 

Have any of you encountered lag issues with a Perforce server running on
XServ with MacOS?

We have that kind of setup and recently we've encountered problems with
checking out, submitting or even just updating/synchronizing with the P4
server.  The status bar just keeps going but the operation doesn't seem
to finish.

 

Eventually it does, after a really long time (at least an hour or so) to
check out just one file.  Does anyone know if any new patches to
XServ/MacOS affect P4 server performance?  Any idea to figure out what's
happening is greatly appreciated.
