[p4] is there way to cause "p4 edit" to automatically sync toheadfirst?

I want to thank everyone for your input on this. There are obvious
concerns with such a feature. It would be nice however if P4V and P4WSAD
provided the same functionality as P4Win already does (which was brought
to my attention by Jeff Grills - thank you Jeff!) 

I floated the idea of internally producing a command-line wrapper in
which we establish our own behavior for "p4 edit" - like adding options
for doing a complete sync first, file only sync first, or no-sync first
(the current behavior). 

The command-line doesn't seem to be a priority among these folks, not at
the moment anyway, so that didn't go anywhere...

I appreciate the responsiveness of this community. Having your thoughts
and suggestions in hand makes it easy for me to go with confidence to my
users and explain the situation and the options we do have.
