This isn't our release branch, this is the mainline.

Your working habits may not work for me, and mine may not work for you.
I'm just trying to come up with a good tradeoff in my organization
between time spent branching, tracing through branch history, etc. and
time spent coding.  I think if we implement the strategy I've explained
it will be good for us (and my team seems to agree), but of course we
may find down the road that it's not.
