[p4] Large submit problem with P4V

Yes - I have observed this behavior as recently as 2 nights ago. I was
submitting CL's with 3-5x more files than what you are doing. It took
on the order of 20-25 minutes for the submit dialog to render. After
the submission was executed it appeared to hang, however I noticed that
the journal file was cranking up in size during this time, which it
should have been. My theory was that the IO subsystem could not keep
up.

Subject: [p4] Large submit problem with P4V

Has anyone had issues with submitting large sets of files with P4V?

I just tried a submit with just over 5000 files and P4V appeared to lock
up. Then it created a second change list with the same description and
no files.

Odd behavior and it just sits there and churns when I try to submit the
changelist again.

This was on a Windows Perforce server and a WinXP P4V client version of
2005.2/94595.
