[p4] p4 opened confusion... database corrupted?

I am observing this:

... //depot/techpubs/eng/docs/SourceFiles/security_compliance/front.fm - 
also opened by pgrisier at pgrisier-techpubs
cg at e02.hq.sensage.com /local/home/cg/a/playground
% p4 opened -a front.fm
//depot/techpubs/eng/docs/SourceFiles/security_compliance/front.fm#4 - 
edit default change (binary) by cg at e02-cg

(note that I don't see the entry for pgrisier-techpubs)

It is particularly vexing if you try to do it from the pgrisier-techpubs 
client. On the one hand, it doesn't show in any change list, but you 
also can't check it out.
