Do you mean where you've deleted the data files (*,v) from the
depot and now want to modify their metadata?  I've never
tried this.  I'd expect 'p4 obliterate' to complain a lot but to do it.

Preserving the metadata and allowing for the possibility that they might
be restored to the server some day?  This would probably require huge
architectural changes.  I don't expect to ever see it.

'p4 obliterate' does this.
