[p4] AltRoots not working properly for version 2005.2

I have a problem with the AltRoots not working properly on linux:

 

The following P4 client seems to work fine on both windows and linux

 

Root:    C:\user\testing

 

AltRoots:

            /u/user/testing

 

 

However, when I add an extra folder to Root and AltRoots, like:

 

Root:    C:\user\testing\phase

 

AltRoots:

            /u/user/testing/phase

 

 

The linux version just doesn't work properly and it creates the folder
"C:\user\testing\phase" which is not intended.

Does anyone know how to fix this kind of problem or should I resort to 2
different clients for different OS?
