[p4] P4V vs P4Win

I don't think anyone's mentioned a rather large complaint of mine about P4V:
it uses different terminology for all its operations than all the other
perforce tools, and than the perforce documentation & Wingerd book. For
instance, you choose "get latest revision" instead of "sync to head", and
"check out" instead of "open for edit". I find it maddening to switch back
& forth.

I don't much care which set of terminology is "better", but for heaven's
sake it should be consistent across the platform. Perforce has claimed for
at least a couple years that they're moving to the terminology that's used
in P4V across all their products, but it doesn't actually seem to be
happening.

It almost makes me wonder if the P4V team is a rogue limb of the company
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alien_hand_syndrome) with a mind of its own.

I certainly do appreciate the additional functionality P4V has in certain
situations, but I join the chorus of usability complainers.
