[p4] Error when restarting the Perforce Server.

I personally find that setting or relying on P4ROOT can lead to problems if
you ever have more than one installation on a box (and who doesn't at least
do some testing from time to time). I have nearly caused myself too many
problems in the past with this and the odd extra grey hair when at a
client's site!
Thus "p4d -r <dir>" is always my option of choice for doing server related
stuff.
