[p4] determining p4 settings

p4 set will work if things have been explicitly set, but won't pick up 
'defaults' like client spec names which default to the host name, or 
p4port defaulting to perforce:1666.
If you don't need to know where the values came from, p4 info is 
probably the best bet.
