Hello Andrew,
AFAIK, there was a plugin by Noel Llopis for VS2003 (see
http://www.convexhull.com/), but I think it doesn't work with 2005 and
up.
FWIW, we completely gave up on trying with any plugins, and just added
a few custom tools to the tools menu, with things like "p4 edit
$(ItemPath)" etc., then bound keyboard shortcuts to them. It is very
simple configure and easy to use.
