thanks for your reply.

No, the server is not case-sensitive (Windows OS).
Anyway, even if it were, shouldn't the case be preserved during the 
copying process?

Is your server case sensitive?  Is it possible the server thinks
the file is different as the case is different on server and client?

(When you get the files from the server onto the other PC, the case
would be the same as the server.)
