> Responsibilities:
> *Establishes initiative level SCM strategies; creates SCM frameworks
> working with the internal organization and the other external
> organizations; creates a unified methodology of SCM across the

> * Works across organizational boundaries to define, develop, and
> implement comprehensive software configuration management strategies
> involving all software environmental components.
> * Drives SCM strategies, roadmap and initiative priority for Intuit.
> Ensures those strategies and roadmaps reflect technological realities
> and opportunities.
> * Contributes to partner tool strategies, roadmaps and feature plans.
> * Effectively communicates and coordinates across Intuit.
> * Monitors product and process industry trends to identify and
> implement improvements.
> * Provides leadership that increases Intuit's Intellectual Capital in
> the areas of SCM disciplines that may impact multiple Intuit
> organizations and groups.
> * Identifies process metrics that can be used to identify and drive
> the implementation of process improvements throughout the organization
> * Evangelizes product and process quality throughout the organization.

> * Creates patent proposals, recommendations on new and emerging
> technologies and process improvements.
> * Produces Software Product improvements implemented in partner
> software tools.
> * Offers Teachable Point Of View on SCM and of the SCM directions

> Qualifications:
> * MS in computer science or equivalent experience.
> * Experience successfully executing SCM strategy in large
> consumer-driven technical organization.
> * Expert knowledge of the SCM discipline and tools, such as Perforce
> or ClearCase.
> * Experience and success in implementing SCM promotion models.
> * Proven success defining, developing and implementing multiple large
> scale software delivery systems.
> * Proven success sustaining multiple large scale delivery systems.
> * Experience implementing object oriented architectures with high
> component re-use and sharing.
> * Experience driving technological and process change impacting
> multiple business groups
> * Strong interpersonal skills and success mentoring individuals with
> many years of legacy support and institutional knowledge.
> * Ability to Influence and communicate effectively with non-technical
> professionals including all levels of business management.
> * Experience coaching and directing SCM engineers to facilitate their
> development.
> * Ability to provide the technical Line of Sight for team members back
> to the most fundamental business objectives.
> * Experience identifying skill set gaps and recruiting, selection and
> training for SCM engineers within multiple PD groups.
> * Experience with desktop installers.
> * Possesses knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as
> CMM.
> * Knowledge of relevant industry standard solutions
> * Knowledge of database design and usage as well as web reporting
> * Knowledge of Windows OSs and development environments.
> * Knowledge of build tools such as make or nmake.
> * Knowledge of Perl, bash/shell scripting.
> * Knowledge of SQL and writing queries.

> Desired Skills:
> * Experience with Mac and UNIX/Linux OSs and Development environments.
> * Experience with xml, Ant, and Maven build tools.
> * Knowledge of Python and JavaScripts.
> * Knowledge of ASP, Java and C#.
> * Knowledge of Defect/Issue Tracking Systems like Serena TeamTrack.
> * Knowledge of build automation tools such as BuildForge.
> * Experience with Root Cause Analysis processes.
