[p4] P4V's "no workspace selected" view of the depot

P4V has an option to show the entire depot tree in the depot view. With
the depot view selected, look for the filter button in the top right of
the depot tree pane, (looks like a yellow funnel.) Select the "Entire
Depot Tree" option from the drop-down menu. That should cause the depot
tree to include the entire depot.

Subject: [p4] P4V's "no workspace selected" view of the depot
Hi,
I have a perforce server with depots "depot" and "spec".
When I run "p4v", the "Open Connection" dialog allows me the *option*
to select a workspace to open. When I leave it blank, the main
window's "Depot Tree" tab shows both "depot" and "spec" under "//". I
can browse both depots normally. The workspace dropdown at the top
of the tab reads "(no workspace selected)".
If I choose a previously-created workspace that includes only part
of "//depot" and nothing from "//spec", then the "Depot Tree"
view is filtered and I can no longer see "//spec".
I find this behaviour counter-intuitive: I fully expect the "Workspace
Tree" view to be filtered, but the "Depot Tree" should be unmolested.
However, the real problem is that once you've chosen a named
workspace, there's no way to get back to the "(no workspace selected)"
view of the depot. At least, I can't find one. Help?
-Steve
