Yes, its a confusing message, but I interpret it to mean that the intersection
of the client's files and the target files is empty.

Nothing gets into the depot without being checked in from a client.
You can't checkin files to a part of the depot your client doesn't
map to.

As Stephen says, you have to be in the client that has the target
files, or at least mappings for them.

I have found this error to be the most common one that people
make with integrations.
