[p4] Multiple clients - single user

Hi,

Just a quick query

Suppose in our company, each person has their own PC which is not
accessed by anyone else.  In this case, using perforce of course,
could we use multiple client specs [one of each PC], but only a single
user [it's a company of about 4 people] - each person then sets their
copy of perfoce to use this one user via the P4USER variable, and uses
their own unique client.

I have seen a lot of horror stories of people trying to share client
workspaces, and the reason this is a problem all make sense to me, but
don't really understand the implications of sharing a user between
multiple clients.  I assume since perforce is charged on a per-user
basis, there must be some, or everyone would buy just a single user
licence which gives you unlimited client-specs and share the one user
out between them.
