Job Scope:

The Manager of Software CM and Release position will be responsible for
the software configuration management, build and release engineering for
the company's products. This position is a leadership position that
involves supervision of a small team as well as significant hands-on
contribution in a dynamic startup environment.

Responsibilities:
* Lead software CM, build and release engineering for company
* Develop, coordinate, maintain and enforce plans, processes and
policies
* Drive continuous improvement and adoption of best practices
* Negotiate service level agreements with internal customers and work
diligently to meet expectations
* Own administration of the corporate Perforce source control system,
including codeline management as well as systems administration
*Support and establish change control processes and policies
* Maintain and improve integration of source control system with other
engineering tools such as builds, package management, and bug tracking
* Design and implement automated merge, continuous build and continuous
regression testing methods to support an agile development process
* Oversee product build services supporting product development and
sustaining engineering, including the deployment of builds to internal
QA environments and release to production
* Maintain and drive architectural improvements in the product build and
deployment processes to improve reliability and efficiency
* Develop and conduct CM training; Author internal documentation
* Participate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:
*  Bachelors degree in engineering
* 5+ years experience in administration of complex software
configuration management systems
* 3+ years of technical leadership or management experience
* Past experience in development of CM plans, procedures and policies
* Very strong in-depth knowledge of Perforce administration including
backup and warm spare implementation
* Strong experience working in a UNIX (Solaris/Linux) environment
including hands-on experience with shell and perl/python programming
* Strong experience with build tools such as ANT/Maven/GMake
* Ability to multi-task and simultaneously engage with a multiple
constituencies
* Ability to work in a dynamic team environment that has frequent task
changes 
* Very good understanding of industry best practices and willingness to
articulate and enforce them
* Strong communication skills

Desired Qualifications:
* Experience using agile project management methodologies
* Experience in the implementation of a defined methodology for CM, such
as CMM or CMMI
* Experience with Linux RedHat 3.0 and newer, Oracle 9i and newer, and
Tomcat servlet engine
* Experience integrating with BladeLogic
* Experience with TeamCity and/or CruiseControl
