[p4] Continuum Clients problem.

Yes, The problem was that we upgraded to 2006.2 - combined with
continuum using / in clientspecs.

As far as I know that's not configurable - I'm going to email
continuum-users at maven.apache.org

Yes, take a look at item #100613 in the "Bug Fixed in 2006.2" section of
the Release Notes

version 2006.2 of p4d:

        #100613 **




            / is no longer allowed in client or depot names.  Because

            of the way Perforce manages views, having a / in the name

            can cause data inconsistencies.  Now / is simply disallowed.

            Most other entities (branches, labels, jobs, etc) can still


            have a / in them.  (Bug 5422, 7152, 12904, 21751).



I have been bitten by that one too, and had to stay at 2006.1 for one of
our servers while clients are being progressively renamed. We had no
particular reasons for using "/" apart from aesthetics (we used that on
groups too, and it looks neat in a spec depot).
