Can you be more specific on where I can get this perfmege++ tool? I can't find any official mention of it from the perforce web site.

You will have to use the perfmerge++ tool, available by request from Perforce support, to merge depots. That is the only way to mix conversion results with an existing repository. I would also discourage using your lice P4ROOT for conversion results, even if you plan to wholesale replace it. You can copy all of the files and directories from your temporary P4ROOT (used by the script) to the production one after the conversion completes.
Cheers,
Gabor

I've been testing cvs2p4 lately and I got the test running with no problem. The default p4root for the new depot is at:
/home/thierry/cvs2p4-3.0b6/test_conv_dir/p4root
If I have a live perforce test server running at P4ROOT=/p4server:
/p4server
How do I move the migrated perforce depot(/home/thierry/cvs2p4-3.0b6/test_conv_dir/p4root) to my current live depot(/p4server)? If I were to specify P4ROOT to my live server before the migration, cvs2p4 wipes out my live depot completely and I don't want that. How are you guys doing it?
Thierry
