[p4] Eclipse plugin - keeps saying '{path} not under client's root'- stumped

It's not a symbolic link but a path to the moutned windows volume. The error
the p4wsad plugin gives is

"/mnt/hgfs/windows/p4client/{path to whatever file} is not under cient's
root 'C:\p4client'

(the alt root I had setup was /mnt/hgfs/windows/p4client/ )

I'm not that concerned about it now since I just set up another workspace so
that my linux client uses one workspace and my windows station a different
one. I'm sure, though, that others would have run into this if it was
something broken with the plugin. It makes me think I just have something
set up odd. (I do notice in the release notes that the plugin supports up to
eclipse 3.2 and I'm using 3.3 but I doubt that's the issue since the plugin
works fine in every other way.)
