[p4] *** genmetadata bad results error while running test/runtest script for cvs2p4

Hi,

  I am trying to export CVS to perforce and am using cvs2p4 scripts. As per the instructions, I am trying to run the test by running test/runtest' and am getting  "*** genmetadata bad results" error.

I did search for this on the net and came across this site where in Cody Holbrook had encountered the exact same problem and has suggested to set PERL5LIB variable and set path to perl in the PATH environment.

I did set both and am still not able to get over this error.

Could somebody knowing the solution please help me here?

 

The server is Linux red hat 9.0 and have installed CVS and Perforce on the server .
