[p4] Unicode file problem on non-unicode environment.

Hi,

 

Our servers are non-Unicode perforce servers. Some users submitted some
files and perforce add them with the type utf16. 

All perforce's users were able to sync the files and use them, but when
we received a second version and added to perforce the clients are not
able to sync to this new version.

 

The error is:

Translation of file content failed near line 1

 

I'd like to change the type to binary of all these utf16 files, but I
cannot check the file out to resubmit with the correct type. 

Do you know how I can fix this problem? Why am I getting this error just
on the second version of the file ( I guess some characters...)?
