[p4] Files not visible in P4Win 'local view of client'

One of our users is having an odd 2006.2 P4Win problem when using the
'local view of client'. He can only see one mapping in his client spec
although the files are on his local machine in the correct location and
are visible when using the same view in P4V.

 

For example his client spec looks similar to this and the only files
visible are those in //depot/doc/.... 

 

//depot/doc/... //test/doc/...

//depot/development/branch/main/... //test/ development /branch/main/...

 

Those in //depot/development/branch/main/... are not visible when using
P4Win. This user is the only one having this problem and it appears that
it only happens on one client spec.

 

The obvious solution is to use P4V, but there is some resistance to that
here.

 

Has anyone come across this before?
