[p4] How to recorvery only with versioned files?

Hey guys,   Some one gave me some .gz files which contain versioned files,
but without any db.* file, checkpoint files and journal files. Now I need to
pull out all the source code from these backup files. I look into Perforce
System Administrator's Guide try to find an way to recover the server's file
without checkpoint and journal files. Unfortunately, I got nothing. And
Google can not help me on this.
    All  I want is only the source code files, no matter what version they
are. Version Tree or change history are not what I need too.
    Can anyone help on this ? Thanks a lot.
